pit meneuver;

"The pit meneuver" occured in Sumas, at my friends grandma house, which is in America. "The pit meneuver was a inside joke between me and my friend. Right across the road from his grandmas house, which we were staying at for a week, there was a go kart place, and we wanted to go really bad. My friend ann I actually spent hours scrounging around the house for loose change, considering it was only four dollars per person. After the excausting search, we found excactly eight dollars! We've been wanting to go as soon as we got to the house, and now we found the money, it felt like we won the lottery! Jeff quikly told his mother we were heading across the street to the go karts, as I bolted out the door to get a head start on Jeff.

As we approached the big sign saying "Sumas Go Karts", I was getting pretty amped.

"Are we going to race?" Jeff snickered.

"Obviously!" I laughed.

I found that pretty funny that Jeff thought he would easily beat me, becuase he wouldnt. We quickly jumped into the line, as Jeff continued to joke with me about beating me, I found it pretty amusing. After the longest ten minutes of our lives, we finally reached the front of the line. Jeff handed the guy the ticket, as did I, as we scampered over to the best karts, which were at the front of course, because we wanted to get out there first. We anxciously waited for the green light to go off to signal the start.

Red. Yellow. Green, and we were off to the races! The first lap Jeff and I were neck and neck the whole time! We were both going as fast as these cheap racing karts could go, it was amazing. Just as we passed the starting line to start our second lap, he pulled away a little bit, probably because he took better turns. We could only do five laps, that was the rule. Another big rule was no contact with other karts, and I think I broke that rule. The fourth lap came around and Jeff was still in front of me by a little bit. I kept thinking about when he kept bragging that he'll beat me, I couldnt let that happen! We were on our last lap now, and I started to panic. I sped up as fast as I could go. It was the last lap and we were coming close to the finish line! I was losing, and didnt have any other choice, but the pit meneuver! I knew we couldnt make contact with other players, but I couldnt lose to Jeff! I got as close as I could to him, and I was to the right of him. I turned the wheel as hard as I could to the left, right into his back wheel! He spun out right before the finish line, and suprisingly we both passed the finish line as the excact same time.

As soon as both are cars stopped spinning, and stopped completely, the guy who ran the go-karts came running and screaming.

"No contact with other karts" Yelled the guy.

"Sorry, I didnt mean too" I softly said.

Jeff and I quickly got out of the karts thinking we were in trouble and scampered out of the gate without saying anything else to the old man. It was a great time overall, and we couldnt wait until we got home to tell everybody about our great time.
